My Ireland Box: A Subscription Box Review

Disclosure: I received product from My Ireland Box for a review. I only review and endorse products that I enjoy and believe that my readers will, too. All opinions and goofy comments are my own.

When I was 16, my high school marching band took a trip to Ireland to march in Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It was everything that it sounds like– one of the coolest experiences ever. We were only there for a week, but I enjoyed myself immensely– those memories of Ireland (or the exceptionally nice people there) have never left me.

My Ireland Box is a way of getting a bit of the Emerald Isle to your door every month. My April box featured items that were all handmade from Irish artisans. I honestly do not know of another box that curates and showcases artists in this way.

The box actually ships from Ireland! It was pretty exciting to come home to a box sitting in front of our door with a bunch of stamps and stickers all over it. I couldn’t help myself– I tore into the box immediately. Here’s what I found:

My favorite item from the box is this small bauble from The Irish Handmade Glass Company. The piece is “100% mouth-blown”  and is completely unique. This little guy is going to be part of our St. Patrick’s Day decorations from now on– I can’t wait to display him next year!
This coaster is from the artist duo, Fab Cow Design. I am honestly not sure what I’m going to do with this since there’s only one, but I think it might look really pretty framed. After all, it’s not your typical coaster art!
Holden Leathergoods from County Kerry (which I visited when I was in Ireland!) created this leather key ring. More exciting than the key ring is the brochure they included with examples of the beautiful bags and purses they produce. I started salivating– they’re absolutely amazing works of art.

And then there are these cuties. These are super mini cards from Annabel Langrish, a West Cork artist. I love how different and beautiful these are! They remind me of the art work in E.B. White’s books– Charlotte’s WebThe Trumpet of the SwansStuart Little… Now I just have to decide who will be getting these tucked into presents and packages…

Hands down, I loved this box. It lived up to my expectations of bringing a little bit of Ireland to our home!
