I am lucky enough to have gotten to review Tique Box for November (my birthday month, no less!). Tique Box finds artisan goodies from the Portland, Oregon area and delivers them all across the nation. Honestly, it’s like going on vacation for a few minutes on a day when you absolutely can’t go on vacation.
The November box featured a bunch of comestibles as well as other goods… all to make cocktails. That included a passion fruit syrup, a surprisingly delicious candy bar, and a few other goodies. Take a look:
We don’t collect shot glasses, but this one is a cute one to have around.
Handmade hot sauce. I didn’t even know that was a thing. We haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but I can’t wait to experiment with it (especially in a cocktail this winter).
You know you’re fancy when you have fancy, hand-harvested salt for your drinks.
And because I’m awful at making a drink other than opening a beer, a bottle of wine, or mixing a (terribly tasting) rum and Coke, this tiny, pocket-sized recipe book is perfect!
And then there’s my love affair with this candy bar. Hands-down, it was the best thing in the entire box. Specifically, the toffee in the bar was out of this world. It’s a good thing I don’t live in Portland, otherwise I’d be broke from buying these treats.
My sisters, John, and I have begun to make subscription boxes a go-to choice especially for my 87-year-old grandpa and my uncles. Because really, why give one present when you can send a few throughout the year? And there’s always the allure of food (which my grandpa especially is crazy about). If you’re looking for Christmas gifts, Tique Box has just unveiled a new gift service for holiday orders that will make mass-sending of gift subscriptions much easier.
