Hold onto your hats, folks… and then add this care package idea to your deployment toolbox.

For real.

Hershey Corporation– yes, that Hershey– will send care packages free of charge to deployed members of the military. And it’s very easy to get your service member signed up to receive one.

First, click here.

You should see a page that looks like this:

Then fill out the information. Note: your service member must be overseas and have an APO/FPO address.

Then submit!

While I have not personally participated in this program, at least one member of the Creative Care Packages Facebook group had– with great success! Her deployed military member received a box full of Reese’s– enough to share with his buddies.

If candy isn’t your loved one’s thing, think outside of the box and contact those companies directly to see if they have any care package or military programs. Starkist once sent my husband an entire box of individually packaged tuna while he was in Afghanistan. It was amazing. Here’s three organizations that sent John free things while he was deployed.

Hershey’s, you rock. Thanks for supporting our deployed loved ones.

(This is not a sponsored post– I just thought this resource was amazing!)

  1. As a military mom, I understand sending care packages. But on deployment, what about OPSEC/PERSEC?

    1. The only thing the company will know is the member is deployed. However, they will not know ships movements as the mail is sent to a central location before being sorted, checked out, loaded up and brought to the ship.

      1. How long does it take to get sent out and for the guys to receive it. Is there a way to check on the progress? I sent one out on March 5th I believe.

  2. Any idea how long it takes for the deployed recipient to receive the Hershey’s package?

  3. I filled it out in February and my son never received it. I guess it doesn’t work.

  4. Thank you so much…. We have a first time deploy it has been hard for him as well as us..
