When I received Munchit for review, I had no clue that it was about to make Christmas shopping for my grandpa so easy! (I figure, since my grandpa doesn’t read my blog, or even know that I have one… or know what a blog is, I can divulge that my grandpa, lover of snacks that he is, is getting a subscription to Munchit. Shhh, don’t tell him!)
My favorite thing about Munchit is how unique it is. Most subscription boxes are monthly; Munch it is weekly. At $3.58 a week, it’s the most economical subscription box I have found and has few strings attached. There are monthly options, but you can buy it on a week-by-week basis.
Here’s what my review box looked like straight out of the mailbox. (How cute are those stamps?!)
For a little box, there was a lot jammed into it! Each box comes with one small batch, hand-crafted snack mix, a drink, gum, and chocolate. And all of the items are as natural and nature-friendly as possible.
I received the Red Eye snack mix– dark chocolate espresso beans, hazelnuts, cranberries, and goji berries. (And how cute is the packaging?) I’m not a fan of coffee, so I packed this mix in John’s lunch for his first day of the night shift with the express directions to report everything to me. In short, he loved the mix; the flavors were balanced and tasty. He especially loved the chocolate beans. And by the way, the snack mix is two servings. You can house it in one sitting (as I know John did), or you can save the rest for later.
For a small company, Munch it has a ton of options so that you can customize a box exactly to your dietary and taste-ary needs. There are dairy-free and gluten-free options as well as savory, sweet, nutty, and fruity options– 19 mix choices in all.
You have choices for the both the kind of drink and it’s flavor (hot tea, iced tea and water infusions), an all-natural treat (hard candy or chocolate), and all-natural gum. Of course, if you can’t pick, you can also choose to be surprised!
This is a perfect gift for the adventurous, health-conscious, and eco-friendly. Munchit ships to APO/FPO addresses (and when they do, they donate 15% of sales to a military non-profit), so it is a great, alternative option for care packages, too!
