It has been quite the last few weeks, let me tell you! If you read Jo, My Gosh! religiously, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been pretty bare-bones with the posts. I am so sorry! Let me catch you up-to-speed on my life.
I have been hauling my butt all over the country this past month. (Okay, maybe that’s a tiny exaggeration.) But really– in April, I spent more 14 days away from home. In May, I’ve already been away for 8.
We took a quick day trip to VA Beach to meet up with some friends. ( Oh yeah– we saw whales too! This picture is whale-free, by the way. Sorry.)
I went home for an awards ceremony for my mother.
John and I went to my folks’ for Easter.
I was in Phoenix for an EdTech convention. (It’s just Diet Pepsi– nothing fancy!)
John’s sister visited and we did a ton of stuff around town!
John and I ran a half-marathon in Pittsburgh. (Disclaimer: I walked most of it. Disclaimer to the disclaimer: Walking might be an exaggeration. Disclaimer to the disclaimer’s disclaimer: This picture was taken before I became a miserable excuse for a human being.)
Then I took a trip to Military.com’s 2014 Spouse Summit in DC. I met a bunch of people and rubbed elbows with the royalty of the milspouse blog world! (That’s Adrianna, the founder of NextGen MilSpouse and MSB New Media. I met Rachel Marston from The Professional Army Wife. Love both of these amazing women!)
Finally, I just got back from my youngest sister’s college graduation. (I am so proud of her!)
And on top of that, it was the end of the semester for the classes I teach. I’ve been a busy, grading bee!
Life has been awesome, but it has been tiring and a little crazy at times. (But May doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down! Are there brakes on this thing?!)
