A few weeks ago, a wonderful reader, Megan sent me a series of emails containing pure gold. I mean that in the truest sense of the word. Megan and her husband dealt with their first deployment in 2011. The FRG wasn’t active, so she dealt with the deployment mostly on her own… by making care packages (my kind of gal)! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing her photos and ideas with you– she sent so many great ones!

Megan made a customized deck of cards for her husband. She attached stickers, ribbon, rick-rack, and other doodads to each card. She also printed out 52 different reasons why she loves her husband– each card has a different reason.

Each card is unique and heartfelt. Because they’re small and easy to pack, they’re a perfect, meaningful gift for someone who doesn’t have a lot of space.  And the cost for this project is negligible– especially if you have a store of craft supplies and a deck of cards already!

Soon, Megan and her family will soon begin their second deployment. And this time, Megan has two little boys under the age of four. Keep this family in your thoughts!
