Mia Tempo: A Subscription Box Review

Disclosure: I received product from Mia Tempo for a review. I only review and endorse products that I enjoy and believe that my readers will, too. All opinions and goofy comments are my own.
I smell like a lemon bar. A delicious, sugary, lemony lemon bar. And while it’s making me hungry, I feel awesome. My skin is super soft moisturized. After grading almost 700 pages of work written by my grad students, I am in a lemon zen on my couch at 11:15 PM on a Friday night, thanks to Mia Tempo.
Mia Tempo–which was created and founded by a female entrepreneur– believes that women need “Me Time” (hence their name!) and provides that in a quarterly subscription box. Mia Tempo uses sustainable and socially conscious business practices. A portion of profits from every shipment benefits a charity. The spring box benefits Dress For Success, which supports disadvantaged women while they job hunt (including career tools, advice, and professional attire). And the packaging is 100% recycled and made in a 140-year-old family company which generates its own energy from a water-powered mill. That’s just really cool.
I just love Mia Tempo. Opening the box was fun in and of itself. It really, really felt like opening a gift! Just look how beautifully color coordinated everything is!  (Real life: I was a giggly, girly mess when I opened this box up. It was just a lot of fun to go through everything!)
The Spring box had a lemon theme, which was perfect for me! I love lemon! (Remember the week of lemon recipes I shared last year? No? You can see my lemon love here!) There was even lemongrass tea– which smells and tastes amazing!
As you can see, the box featured full-size product and the materials needed to use them– no samples here! In fact, the box even comes with a Treatment Menu so that you can switch off your brain and just enjoy your spa treatment! There’s just something so luxurious about it!
All of the products are eco-friendly and some of them were vegan as well. I’m not vegetarian (I could never give up the occasional burger, but I appreciate the natural approach!)
My favorite items from the box were the exfoliating scrubby, the refreshing spray, and the body polish. I’ve never tried a salt scrub and I was really surprised how fresh my skin felt afterward! I am really glad that I’ve got a ton of product left over from my trial–I can’t wait to repeat my spa treatment!  (I got the husband stamp of approval too. When he came home from work, I hugged him and John said, “Were you baking something? You smell really good!”)

I’ve delayed writing this post because John and I actually purchased a box for someone for a special occasion. (I can’t reveal the details since they haven’t gotten it yet.) But yeah, it’s that awesome– check out Mia Tempo and drool over their products and boxes (and remember that they’re green and socially conscious too)– just visiting the website itself feels like a mini vacation!
