A few weeks ago, I guest posted for Green Mtn. Girl as she was PCSing to Korea with her husband. It seemed natural to post a disastrous mistake we almost made when we PCSed for the first time… and avoided at the last second, just by luck. Check it out here and give her a little love as Kara gets her feet back under herself from half a world away.

I couldn’t agree more! We were assigned housing here in Okinawa, but it’s only for a year, after that we can move off base – and as our 1 year mark approaches I’ve been trying to seek out local friends who are non-military as well as those who have lived here awhile who can help us decide what neighborhood is best for us. Both contribute such different & useful perspectives!
Wow, Heather! And in another country, no less. I’m glad you had people to rely on to help you through those tough decisions!
