This post is sponsored by Outback Steakhouse. All opinions and work are my own.

Veterans Day has come and gone and so have many of the offers and perks that come with the observance. (Let’s be real, no one serves because of discounts and free food, but it is a nice gesture that is appreciated by many in the military community.) Even though we’re thinking about Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Christmas, there is a restaurant chain that is being very intentional about the sacrifices that military families and military members make.

Outback Steakhouse is extending some warm fuzzies throughout this month. Here’s what the chain is doing to support the military community:

Outback Steakhouse is offering a military discount #ad

Grab your discount

Who doesn’t love a discount? (I know I do!) Outback Steakhouse is extending their discount, not only to military, but to first responders too. Beginning November 17, military, firefighters, and police heroes will receive 10% off their check.

Partnering with Operation Homefront

Operation Homefront is a favorite nonprofit in our community that does a lot of wonderful work for military families.  They offer assistance to families who are struggling or in need, support for those who need help with resiliency, and make sure military families aren’t forgotten through programs like Homefront Celebrations, Star-Spangled Baby Showers, Back-to-School Brigades and Holiday Meals.

Outback Steakhouse is doing three things to help Operation Homefront continue offering these vital services and resources through the “At Outback, We Serve Those Who Serve” campaign. From November 8 to January 2, 2018, you can help their efforts:

  • Thirsty? Purchase a Foster’s Lager Big Bloke, and Miller Coors will donate a buck to the nonprofit
  • Feeling fancy? Grab a glass of Outback’s New Patriotic Punch, and the restaurant will donate $1 to Operation Homefront
  • Have a little extra change? You can add $1 to your check for a direct donation to Operation Homefront
  • And if you’re feeling a little more generous, a donation of $5 or more will purchase Outback gift cards that Operation Homefront will distribute to military families
