Are You On a #GratitudeMission This November?

I don’t know about Gratitude Mission you, but this year has gone by so fast! It’s hard to believe that Veterans Day is past and Thanksgiving is just a few days later. The entire month, too, is Military Family Appreciation Month. For these reasons alone, November is an apropos time to reflect on the service and sacrifice of military families and veterans. This year, Navy Federal Credit Union is giving us one way to do just that through their Gratitude Mission. They’re focusing on a military nonprofit and celebrating of the service that inspires their service to members.

U.S.VETS

Founded by veterans, U.S.VETS is a national nonprofit that supports veterans after they leave military service, with a focus on ending veteran homelessness. U.S.VETS does this by offering specialized services when it comes to housing, mental health and wellness, workforce development, and individual support. Currently U.S.VETS locations are serving at-risk veterans in 11 US cities in five states—Hawaii, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas.

#GratitudeMission

Navy Federal is asking people to participate in their #GratitudeMission in order to shine a spotlight on individual veterans who inspire us and support U.S.VETS. Share a story about the veteran you’re honoring and a picture of you holding a sign including your veteran’s name and branch of service. When you share it at Gratitudemission.navyfederal.org, you could win one of these fantastic prizes:

• Grand Prize Winners will win a $2,000 gift card and a donation match to U.S. VETS
• Second Place Winners will win a $1,000 gift card and a donation match to U.S. VETS
• Honorable Mentions will win a $500 gift card

That’s a lot of cash and donations… and a lot of opportunities to win. The contest runs from now until November 14, 2021. Winners will be publicized by December 14, 2021.
