Today’s Amazon Prime Day! If you’re a Prime member, you have access to some money-saving deals on everyone’s favorite shopping site. Many of the deals are perfect for military families to help make life a little easier (or more fun!). Amazon ships to APO/FPO/DPO, so for most items, you can also send them abroad to a deployed loved one (or to yourself, if you’re overseas). Keep Your House Clean Easily with the Roomba 614
The best tool we own is a Roomba. Thanks to the military, John usually has an insanely busy schedule and I’m working full-time too. Together, we often end up scrambling for time to try to keep our house clean. But our floors? They’re always swept and fluffy because we can just set the timer on the Roomba and let it do it’s thing. Get Photos Off Your Phone with Polaroid Zip Mobile Printers
If you miss the days of physical pictures that you could hold onto, tape into your locker and on your binders (not that I did that…), send in envelopes, and put into photo albums, you’ll be interested in the Polaroid Zip Mobile Printers. I haven’t used them personally, but for deployments and separations, this seems like a fantastic way to quickly and easily print photos and keep in touch.

Milfams have found many different uses for Kindles. Fill a Kindle with books, music, and movies and ship it to a deployed loved one. (When people ask what they can send, you can always say Amazon gift cards for books and movies, too!) Keep your kids connected to Mom or Dad when they’re gone through the United Through Reading app, video chat, dual player games, or other apps and games that offer some one-on-one time. Find some “me-time” by diving into a book when everyone’s (finally!) in bed. You can save between $30-100 on various Kindles today.
Crash with a Movie

Keep Memories Safe
During John’s deployment, I shipped both full and empty sim cards to him in an effort to keep his morale up and share what was happening at home. They were especially perfect for sharing videos of everyday events– rainstorms, me rambling on in an effort to make him laugh, a summer day at the beach; and exciting things– the Penn State Blue Band’s pregame during the first football season of the year, the skyline of his hometown, and footage from one of his best friends’ weddings. Pack Like a Pro
After backpacking Europe, I had no clue– NO CLUE– how awesome packing cubes are. If you do a lot of traveling, get you some. I’ll just leave it at that.
